Nissa Van Etten, PhD, BCBA-D

Nissa Van Etten, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA is the Director Clinical Training & CR Institute at CentralReach. Nissa joins the CentralReach team with over 20 years of experience working with individuals with autism in a variety of settings. She has held the BCBA credential for 14 years and is passionate about clinician training, compassionate care, and cultural humility in behavior analytic practice. Nissa has held a variety of clinical roles working in clinic-based and educational settings. Nissa has utilized and developed trainings on how to utilize various criterion-referenced assessments such as the ABLLS-R, AFLS, and VB-MAPP in clinical practice. She completed her dissertation on training compassionate care skills to behavior analysts and is passionate about culturally responsive care in behavior analysis. Nissa resides in Austin, Texas with her three children, three dogs, and husband. In her spare time, she enjoys competitive CrossFit, playing tennis, and is learning to love running.
