June Mecca, MSEd, BCBA

June began her career as a Special Education Teacher. She taught students with autism and other special needs in primary and secondary special education classrooms including self-contained classes, resource room, inclusion classes and provided support to students who were mainstreamed. During her classroom teaching experiences she used behavioral intervention to teach skill sets across communication, adaptive behavior and academic domains. June also implemented behavioral interventions for classroom management. Later after her triplet sons began school, she provided special instruction services in Early Intervention as an ABA Therapist teaching young learners with autism. As a special education instructor and ABA Therapist, June developed, implemented and monitored Applied Behavior Analysis programs for learners in home, community and school settings. Eventually June began working more in schools providing consultation to support students with autism in various primary and secondary classroom settings. During that time, she began the coursework for BCBA certification at Pennsylvania State University. To expand further on her professional experiences, June completed an Internship at a school for learners on the autism spectrum. She has continued her work as a BCBA Consultant developing, implementing and monitoring ABA programs for students with autism and other special needs as well as providing training for teachers and school teams in ABA. Throughout her career, June has focused on the importance of improving outcomes for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
